Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century green morocco by L. Staggemeier & Welcher, stamped with the arms of 2nd Earl Spencer impaling Bingham, quartered with Turberville, and the motto, ‘Dieu defend le droit'; gilt-edged leaves; marbled pastedowns; red silk bookmark.

On a1r the title ‘STATII Thebaydos' is supplied in a fifteenth-century hand.
