Binding: Nineteenth-century blue morocco; on both covers triple gilt fillets form a border; single fillets on edges of boards and on turn-ins; title in gold along the spine; marbled pastedowns; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers.

On [a1v] note on confession. Early marginal notes and running headlines in various hands.
On [a2r] an eight-line initial is supplied in red and a yellow initial with pen-flourishing in yellow. Other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; red capital strokes and underlining.
